Just sharing a life tip

Written by

Gents,

I hope you have a great Sunday and the rest of the week. This is a quick read as I want to share with you one of my favorite books. For me, it’s my life and business “bible”. It’s called The One Thing. It’s a very simple read with a few cool graphics. I can spend all day talking about it but one chapter always sticks out for me, Chapter 8, “A Balanced Life.”

We all have heard we need to create a “balanced life”. But the truth is...IT DOESN”T EXIST! There may be a moment in time when you may feel you have a balance but usually something unexpected happens. Whether it be personal or professional. The key takeaway from the chapter is not trying to create a “balance” but leaning toward WORK-LIFE COUNTERBALANCE.

You have to learn to be okay with working hard or playing hard. But when the time comes, you have to “counterbalance” and bring yourself back. For example, if you have a family or significant other, they have to understand you may have to “go hard” at work. But then, you have to remember to counterbalance and make your family or significant a priority. You have to do that for yourself too. Take some time to meditate, work out, play ball, and come to Men Talk Sundays. Also when you communicate this strategy/philosphy to friends and family….just maybe they will understand.

So as we all continue to make ourselves better men. Go ahead, Go IN on whatever you are trying to do. Just remember to counterbalance that to reset. Then do it again!

I’m not a prolific writer by the way. Though my company focuses on strategy for other companies, I’ve never written a blog. But since becoming a MTM Crew Member, I’m compelled to share things that push me through life successfully.

If you made it this far and are interested in the book. The first 2 brothers to leave a REPLY BELOW to this post, I will order and send you a copy of the book.

Have a great rest of the week. Don’t forget to REGISTER on the website to officially join the MTS Crew!
